Vintage Fall Garlands...

Hey everyone.  Fall is approaching and as much as I love Summer, I embrace all the seasons that we are blessed with.  I'm adding a few Fall touches here and there to the house.  I've always loved this two tiered wire basket and I look forward to filling it with new and old items every season. This year I filled it with gourds from my vine garden, an ironstone pitcher full of dried pods and a deer shed, thrift store soup mugs and vintage scenery postcards.  Candles are always a pretty way to decorate and also make your house smell so warm and cozy.
You might notice my chalkboard and my new Fall Garland.  I made some from vintage sheets for Josey's graduation and just loved them.  I thought some Fall themed ones were in order.
I'll be making a few for my chalkboards and fireplace mantel and I've added some to my shop too.
Mostly all vintage fabrics in the prettiest, warm colors that will take you right through Halloween and Thanksgiving.  Perfect for chalkboards, mantels, over a grouping of framed photos or artwork, on a staircase, over a headboard.  Add some twinkling lights and you've got the makings of a little shindig.  Drape them outside between trees or on your porch.  Hang them from the center for more of a vertical look.  You get 6' of garland with two extra feet of twine on the ends to extend the garland to a longer length if you wish.
There's just a few listed for now so grab one just in time for the Fall festivities.  Enjoy!

Also, if you've ever wanted to try Instagram, it's a wonderful social community.  I post a lot about my home, projects and artwork over there.  My name is MishWooderson if you'd like to find me.

Also if you're looking for a great online art community, Jeanne Oliver's website is a fantastic resource.  She is so down to earth and has art classes and all kinds of other fun classes to inspire.  Right now I'm loving the Art of Home class that is all about creating an inviting environment in your home.  The Woodland Girl class is also a favorite, perfect if you want to enjoy some nature this Fall.

I've been canning up a storm this Summer as my garden had some bumper crops of peppers and tomatoes.  This recipe for Roasted Red Pepper Ravioli is divine and so easy to make.  Red peppers are so pricey during the Winter months here.  I decided to broil and skin all of them and freeze in individual baggies just so I could make this meal.  It's a favorite of mine.  Here's the direct blog link.
Okie doke guys......I'm going to try to get back into sharing more on the blog but I have to be honest with you....it gets lonely in blog land with hardly any comments or interaction.  That's why I love Instagram so much.  You can see who likes your photos and comments are easy to leave.  But I know a lot of you don't have Instagram and still like to read blogs.  So we'll see how it goes.  I'll still be posting more photos over on my Instagram account so be sure to check it out over there too.  Thank you as always for visiting and I know it's a pain to leave comments....I'm bad about it too.  I so appreciate all of you that take the time to leave a few nice words.  I do love to hear what you're up to also as the sharing is what I love about social media.  Until next time, take care!

Thanks for including the direct link to the blog for the recipe. It seems like the Pinterest links don't always take you to the direct pin. Very weird. Although Pinterest is not working properly from my iPhone today. Not sure if it has to do with the most recent update:)

I love your blog. Everything you blog about I love, family, paper crafting and vintage things, etc. I love how you just take things you like and go with it, it inspires me to want to try to do that. Keep on blogging:)

Another vote for loving your blog! I leave comments often because I am a commenter. I feel like I'm always leaving comments on Instagram photos when there aren't any yet. Sometimes I feel silly. That's why I love blogs. Love the garland too. It's beautiful like everything you make. I really need to make something similar for fall decor!

I am a bad "commenter" but I love your blog. I am trying to get better about checking Instagram but I find it much easier to follow blogs!

We are still waiting for fall in Southern California. Your pictures make me hope it hurries! While I love the instant gratification of your Instagram posts, I find myself referring to your blog posts again and again. I started and still love project life largely due to your posts. Your posts on card making always leave me wanting to go play with my toys. Your posts about life in the country make me miss the piece of the country we call our true home. I realize I now sound like a borderline stalker...but I'm a nice stalker! Thanks for sharing your world with us!!

I have been following for a few years and have loved following on Instagram. But I too love your blog posts especially for the more detailed inspiration or ideas you give us there. Your blog is my fave- casual, creative and inspiring and I am still reading.

I still have my freedom flag (Love!) I got from you up- "maybe" I will take it down and switch to fall- maybe.

Slap my wrists!!! ;) Not commented for ages..but I don't have the spare time to do so these days. Thanks for sharing the pepper pasta recipe....will have to try that. Found you on Instagram now so thanks for the heads up on that :)
Have a happy Autumn.....and I know exactly what you mean with blogger being a bit cumbersome for commenting compared to other sites these days. Perhaps they might improve it and keep up to date with everyone else...you never know ;)

Hello Michelle, I check in with your blog daily and love it! I have been following you since your days on Splitcoast Stampers and cased about every card you had in your gallery. And I swear you could sell me on every PTI stamp set you made cards with on the PTI team, yes I am a big fan. I apologize I have not been commenting, I will be more mindful.
I just love how you walk us through your projects step by step with pictures, you cant get that anywhere but on a blog, so I hope you keep on with your blogging, it is one of my favorites.
I have not begun getting my Fall decorations out yet, I think I just don't want to let the summer go. I did do one thing in the direction of Fall decorating and that is I went to Bath and Body Works to get some Fall candles, scent bulbs and soap. I have also started on my Halloween cards and tags and treat bags. Some of your Halloween cards, tags and bags are still my favorite!!

I love love love your cards! I have been missing seeing them. Will try to comment more.

I have missed your posts.

I love your projects, cards, kits, life news, vintage finds, etc. I don't "do" instagram, so this is my only way to get my crafty info.

I will try to be better about commenting.

I am a great fan of your blog Michelle. It is one of the very few I check on regularly. I have enjoyed your posts since the time you were part of Papertrey Ink and always enjoyed the inspiration you gave by using their products. Some of my favourite stamps sets were designed by you.
Your posts are always so well written. Almost short stories, sharing your family life and interests.
Keep blogging if you can. I know life gets complicated and busy and keeping up with a blog is not always way up there at the top of the list. There are many of us out in blog world who enjoy your positive take on life. I must sign up for instagram and look you up and comment too. Sorry for all the times I have read and enjoyed a post and not commented. Your blog posts are always enjoyed and appreciated.

I am a big fan of your blog as well, Michelle! I love seeing your Project Life and all of your other wonderful, homey decorating and food ideas. I have never canned in my life but this summer we made your Sweet and Sour Pickled Peppers and they were fantastic. I also love your Dump Bowl Cookies. I adore seeing new blog updates in my inbox, and I read your posts on Feedly as well. I hope you won't stop blogging... I do follow you on Instagram, and I totally know what you mean about instant feedback. I never stopped to think about the importance of commenting on your posts, but please know that yours is one of my most favourite blogs. A read always feels like I was able to stop by for a wee visit in person, complete with tea and a biscuit. Your personality and voice really shine through, and you seem so warm and fun. Your blog posts are treasured, and I still refer back to posts from previous years when I want to refresh my memory with the details of what I've seen you create. I also post them to Pinterest... Please keep posting! Hugs...

I think you are so talented, and I love to see the pictures and posts on your blog. I am not on any social media, so this is the only way I get to see your beautiful projects. I know people say that blogs are going out of fashion, but I really enjoy your "voice". Thank you for sharing with us.

I know what you mean as far as no blog love!!! I feel the same. I am forever posting on my Instagram so I will be sure to start following you there. This ravioli looks delish!!! I will check out the recipe.

Michelle, I have followed your art since Splitcoast and I have rarely commented on a post. I don't know why but it never occurred to me that it would matter to you if I commented or not :) You have been a huge influence on my creative endeavors. I scrapbook using Project Life because of you, I took up mixed media art because of you (and I would NOT have considered myself artistic until I tried it), I have a vintage typewriter because of you and I think I own a couple of printers because you recommended them :) Wow, I think I may want to be you when I grow up, lol. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself on your blog. Please keep it coming.
